Englund and Lopez-de-Silanes New Professors in the Finance Group
Peter Englund and Florencio Lopez-de-Silanes were hired by the Finance Group as Professor in Real Estate Finance and Professor in Finance and Governance, respectively. Florencio will also be the Chair of the MBA Program and of the International Masters’ Committees.

A total of nine papers by faculty members of the Finance Group were accepted for presentation at the European Finance Association Meetings 2006 in Zurich! The Finance Group thereby had the largest numbers of accepted papers of all finance departments.

SSRN Ranking: Amsterdam Number 1 Outside the US
The Business School of the University of Amsterdam was recently ranked by SSRN the top business school outside the US in terms of number of research papers downloaded per author. The overwhelming majority of those downloads concern research papers provided by the finance group.
