The objective of the meeting is to bring together a group of academic researchers in a stimulating and pleasant atmosphere. We hope to generate convivial interaction between academic researchers on all continents who share an interest in (empirical) asset pricing. Four speakers have been invited - the rest of the papers will be selected from the applications. The plan is to have 6 to 8 presentations followed by a comprehensive discussion. In addition, there will be a social program, including two dinners on Sunday and Monday evening.
The workshop is held at the University of Amsterdam Business School and will take place on Monday, June 29, 2009. This year invited speakers are: Ralph Koijen (Chicago Booth), Hanno Lustig (UCLA), Stijn Van Nieuwerburgh (NYU Stern), and Robert Whitelaw (NYU Stern).
June is a wonderful month to visit Amsterdam, so enjoy an early summer in one of the most beautiful cities in the entire solar system.
There is a limited travel budget: max. 300 euros for European speakers and 600 dollars for overseas speakers. For speakers and discussants the hotel and the social program are also free of charge.
